According to the head of state, Ghanaians expect nothing but the ultimate price, ie the AFCON trophy  to gratify Ghana’s hunger for trophy.

” On the eve of the commencement in Cameroun of 2021 Africa cup of nations championship, I send best wishes from all Ghanaians to you, the black stars. We are happy that finally, the Afcon 2021 tournament, which was postponed from last year is now going to be held this year, the coronavirus, notwithstanding. Like with every other edition of Afcon, the Ghanaian people demand nothing short of utmost glory from the stars. The pressure to succeed is understandably high because of our status as four-time witness and also because it has been forty long years since we last lifted the trophy”.

His Excellency goes ahead to charge the black Stars to return with the prestigious Afcon trophy.

“The target for you naturally, is to bring the cup home. The task may be daunting but certainly, not insurmountable. I believe that in the current crop of players, we have the talents to match any of the best teams on the continent.
The Ghana team has been pencilled down. It’s one of the favourites of the tournament because of the sheer quality. This is work to be bring the prediction to fruition.

The head of government concluded his good wishes from the Flagstaff house, monitored by metro tv Ghana by urging Ghanaians to have hope in the stars and choose optimism over pessimism.

“I’m aware there are thirty million coaches in Ghana. However, in this age of social media, we cannot allow any form of pessimism, especially in our comments, to filter through to the team. We cannot directly or indirectly afford to break the morals. In highs and lows, in good or bad times, we must show the team that we are Ghanaians and we look out to each other no matter what. We can make the black stars a force to reckon with once again on the continent and in World football”, the president said.

“Don’t Rush Entrepreneurship” – Kweku Etuaful Advises UCC Students

At a time when many young people feel pressured to start businesses immediately after school, entrepreneur and media executive Mr. Kweku Etuaful delivered a timely reminder at the University of Cape Coast.

Speaking at a guest lecture organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprises Development (CESED), Mr. Etuaful challenged students to rethink what it truly means to be entrepreneurial. According to him, the foundation of entrepreneurship lies in mindset, discipline, and preparation rather than quick ventures.

Using his personal journey as an example, Mr. Etuaful explained how years spent working in structured corporate environments shaped his approach to business. His experience in finance roles across several organisations helped him develop habits of accountability, financial control, and respect for systems—qualities he believes are often underestimated by aspiring entrepreneurs.

He stressed that micro-entrepreneurship is not about starting small because of limitation, but about starting deliberately. By focusing on specific niches, managing costs carefully, and delivering consistent value, micro businesses can grow sustainably even in uncertain economic conditions.

A major focus of his address was the freelance and gig economy, which he described as a powerful entry point for students and young professionals. However, he cautioned that freelancing should be approached with the same seriousness as formal employment. Reliability, consistency, and reputation, he noted, are what separate successful freelancers from struggling ones.

Mr. Etuaful also highlighted the importance of community and collaboration, drawing insights from Inspire Cape Coast, an initiative aimed at strengthening creative collaboration and storytelling in the Central Region. Through this experience, he said, it became clear that impact is driven more by mindset than location.

In concluding his lecture, Mr. Etuaful encouraged students to slow down, learn deeply, and build strong personal foundations before venturing into full-scale entrepreneurship. He reminded them that employment, freelancing, and entrepreneurship are not competing paths but complementary stages of growth.
