Kojo Vypa set to host “MOE Concert” in Elmina come Friday July 8, 2022

Reigning central regional best rapper Kojo Vypa born Desmond Prince Owusu is set to host his debut concert dubbed “Monster On Earth Concert” in Elmina, Ghana come Friday, 8th July, 2022.

The young Ghanaian hardcore rapper who represented Central Region at the 2022 3Music Awards with his nomination in the Next Rated Act category has proven to be one of the hardworking musicians in Central Region.

Teaming up with his Management, the Checkzone Family, Kojo Vypa look forward to thrilling his fans in Central Region with his maiden “MOE Concert”.

Interacting with Sintim Media last Saturday on Tweet Chat With Sintim, the “Moment of Love” and “Waayedew” hitmaker disclosed that, “MOE Concert” is going to be an annual concert in central region and it was strategically planned to meet the annual Bakatue Festival celebrated by the good people of Elmina.

The “MOE Concert” is expected to have thrilling and electrifying performances from Top-notch musicians like Ayesem, AMG Armani, Orkortor Perry, Yaw Black, Nemesis Losso, Loyce Sings, Wagez, Snowbell, Edho Yat, Tallybo, Ashby Guy, Minab among other amazing surprise Artistes.

The much anticipated concert which is slated for July 8, 2022 will be held at the Elmina Dutch Cemetery Road at exactly 7:00PM.

Kojo Vypa – Hiphop Artiste

Kojo Vypa is a versatile musician with good stage craft, excellent music composition and good lyrical dexterity.

He owns several singles and freestyles to his credit and has shared same stage with EL, Manifest, Teephlow, Ayesem, among other mainstream artistes.

He was crowned the Best Rapper in Central Region at the 2021 Central Music Awards and was nominated in the Next Rated Act Category at the 2022 3Music Awards.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000

Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.

Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.

He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.

Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.

The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.

The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.

The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.

The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
