The able DCE stated emphatically that, the Assembly is set to construct two teachers’ quarters at Otabilkwaa and Asarekwaa to support pupil teachers in these two communities.

In justifying his decision with the Assembly, Hon. Edutuah explained that, most pupil teachers at Asarekwaa reside at Breman Brakwa and commute on daily basis to Asarekwaa to teach.

He further stated that, the absence of conducive and comfortable residence for teachers at Asarekwaa does not motivate teachers to stay in the community.

According to Hon. Lawrence, the construction of the new teachers quarters and renovation of the existing quarters will help motivate teachers in these rural communities to stay in their respective stations of work.

In assessing the infrastructural development of the district, the able Chief Executive Officer opined that, the Assembly need to redirect its investments to other sectors since several markets built in some towns and communities like Agona Odoben are not utilized for their  commercial activities.
