KiDi, S3fa, Black Sherif, Cina Soul, Camidoh and others to thrill fans at 3 Music Awards 2022

3MUSIC AWARDS ’22 ANNOUNCES STAR-STUDDED PERFORMANCE LINE-UP

Black Sherif, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Camidoh, S3fa, and Cina Soul will lead several other entertainers billed to perform at the 5th annual 3Music Awards scheduled for March 26 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference, the 3Music Awards has announced.

Additionally, rising stars Ria Boss, Mona 4Reall and Kweku Darlington, as well as Gospel greats Joe Mettle and Ohemaa Mercy will all grace the grand 3Music Awards ’22 stage. Many more surprises are expected at an event reputed for its trailblazing concepts and electrifying content.

Ace presenters Naa Ashorkor and Jay Foley return again to host the event which also welcomes back fans for the first time in three years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last two editions, held virtually, helped establish the Awards as one of the most revolutionary on the continent. Organizers claim that reverting to an in-person live audience will make the Awards even bigger and better.

Sarkodie dominates this year’s nominations with 12 votes. Last year’s Artiste of the Year winner, KiDi, is in line for an unprecedented encore but faces stiff competition from eight others, including label mate Kuami Eugene, as well as superstars Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Gyakie and Black Sherif. No artiste has won the flagship Artiste of the Year category more than once.

The 3Music Awards ’22 will simulcast at 7pm GMT on 3Music TV and affiliate stations, as well as all official 3Music Awards handles on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The 3Music Awards, Ghana’s most anticipated music celebration, is brought to you by 3Music TV in association with Balantines, Boomplay Music, HD plus, Infinix Mobile, Bang and Olufsen, Hallmark Cafe Gh, Focus 1 Media and Yfm with support from Twitter, YouTube Music, Volta Hotel, Grand Arena, MX24, DGN, and Guide Radio.

Voting for all categories for the 3Music Awards are still ongoing. Fans can also vote for the standout artistes from each of Ghana’s 16 regions in the Next Rated category.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000

Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.

Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.

He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.

Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.

The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.

The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.

The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.

The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
