How To check Your Diversity Visa Lottery (DV-2024) program Status

The Results of the 2024 Diversity Visa program (DV-2024), also known as the Green Card lottery, can be checked online beginning Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at 16:00GMT.

When can I check my DV lottery 2024?

Results will only be available online on the US Department of State website on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at 16:00GMT, and you will be able to see if you have been selected for further processing or not. If you are selected, you will need to complete further steps to apply for an immigrant visa.

To check the results of your entry, you will need your confirmation number, year of birth, last name, and pass a simple security check to prove you are human.

How to check 2024 DV Lottery results

1. Visit the U.S Department of State website

2. Click CHECK STATUS and CONTINUE
3. Enter your Confirmation Number (Example: 2024xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
4. Enter Last Name or Family Name
5. Enter Year of Birth
6. Carefully look at the security code provided and enter it correctly
7. Hit SUBMIT.
8. The next page tells you if you have been selected for further processing or not.

The DV 2024 entrants are those that registered between October 5, 2022 and November 8, 2022. The US State Department will begin processing visas and conducting interviews for the eventual winners starting in October, 2023, with those who pass the interviews, background checks and other qualifications such as high school education and/or work experience being granted permanent resident visas.

The Diversity Visa program, which is administered by the State Department, makes 50,000 permanent resident visas available annually to nationals of countries with low immigration rates to the United States over the previous five years.

The Diversity Visa (DV) lottery is typically held once a year and results for the most recent lottery are usually available starting in May of the following year.

For example, the DV lottery for the year 2024 was held in 2022, and the results for the DV lottery 2024 will be available starting from May 6, 2023.

Meet Nana Danquah Adjei Domson, ESQ: Ghana’s Youngest Lawyer at Age 21.

Nana Danquah Adjei Domson, ESQ, a 21-year-old Ghanaian Lawyer from Breman Asikuma in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region, has made history as the youngest lawyer in Ghana for the year 2025.

Early Life and Education

Born on April 12, 2004, to Mr & Mrs  Adjei Domson, Lawyer Danquah Adjei Domson is the product of a Christian family with three siblings.

He completed his basic school education at Breman Asikuma Colonel Baidoo School at the age of 12.

He then gained admission to Breman Asikuma Senior High School, where he read General Arts for a year before transferring to Life International College at Tema, completing his second-cycle education at age 15 in 2019.

Academic Achievements

Lawyer Danquah Adjei Domson, ESQ, was enrolled in the University of Cape Coast Law Faculty from 2019 to 2023, graduating with a First Class Honors.

He furthered his studies at the Ghana School of Law at Makola for two years and was called to the Bar on October 10, 2025, at age 21.

Vision and Mission

As a rising legal practitioner, he hopes  to continue researching Ghanaian and international laws, simplifying them for citizens to appreciate the relevance of law in daily socio-economic life.
