CMA22: Adom Mysterious Band To Face Cape Vibes Band in a hot Brass Band Challenge at the Black Carpet Session
Adom Mysterious Band and Cape Vibes Band to battle it out in a hot Brass Band Challenge during the Black Carpet session before the main event at the Central Music Awards 2022
As part of the 11th edition of the Central Music Awards, Heritage Promotions, the organizing team introduced four (4) new categories to the scheme of which included the “BEST BRASS BAND OF THE YEAR “.
The “Best Brass Band” Category was introduced to recognize, celebrate and award hardworking Brass Band Groups in Central Region which are contributing to the promotion of central music.
Adom Mysterious Band
In view of this, the organizing team for the 11th edition of the Central Music Awards is set to host a mega Brass Band Challenge between ADOM MYSTERIOUS BAND & CAPE VIBES BAND during the Black Carpet session before the main event.
This makes the Central Music Awards the first Regional Awards Scheme in Ghana to introduce a Brass Band Challenge at it’s event night.
Cape Vibes Band
According to the organizing team, the 11th edition of the scheme is slated for Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Glitz City Hotel, Danicom School at Pedu behind Hutchland City in Cape Coast.
The Black Carpet session begins at exactly 7PM with the main event scheduled at 9PM.
The organizing team anticipates about 2000 attendees for this year’s Award celebration.
Attendees are advised to purchase advance tickets or at the gate at a cool rate of GCH 30 Regular, GHC 50 VIP and GHC 100 VVIP.
Come all to experience the glitz and glam at the Black Carpet with exclusive photoshoots with your favorite celebrities and brass band thrills.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000
Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.
Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.
He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.
Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.
The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.
The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.
The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.
The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.
The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
