Breman Brakwa and Kokoso Residents Endorse Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin for Parliament
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, the incoming Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin, joined the good people of Breman Brakwa, along with her constituency executives, for a Mega Float and Mini Rally through the principal streets of Brakwa and Breman Kokoso Townships.
She was humbled by the warm reception received from over 2000 residents from Brakwa, Fosuansa, Kokoso, and surrounding communities who participated in the float.
Addressing the crowd, the Constituency Chairman, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Apraku, appealed to all to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President and Hon. Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin as the next Member of Parliament in the upcoming December 7 general elections.

Hon. Winifred also solicited their votes and urged them to support H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid. She assured the people of Breman Brakwa and the constituency at large of rapid progress and development under her leadership as Member of Parliament.

The hardworking constituency organizer, Hon. Kwame Nyanteh, charged all executives and party faithfuls to work together to recapture the lost seat and secure a resounding victory for the New Patriotic Party.

Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah Retains Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency Seat
Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, the incumbent member of parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency, has been re-elected to represent the constituency for the next four years for a second term.
He won the 2024 parliamentary election with 25,244 votes, defeating her opponent, Winifred Ababio-Ayin of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who received 22,498 votes.
Hon. Alhaji Ghansah assumed his role as Member of Parliament for the first time in 2020, when he defeated the NPP’s Hon. Emmanuel Adjei Domson.
In his first term, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah carried out many developmental projects and initiatives that helped improve the lives of the people and the constituency.
These developmental projects includes, reshaping roads in the district, providing free driving licenses, organizing free eye surgeries, donating over 100,000 roofing sheets for school projects and building mechanized boreholes to solve water problems.
This means Hon. Alhaji Ghansah’s second-term mandate reflects the confidence the people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency have in his leadership and their trust in his commitment to driving development across the constituency.
