“Sharing Airtime To Your Fans To Vote During Awards Won’t Let You Know Your True Fans” — Kofi Kinaata

Kofi Kinaata — Ghanaian Musician

Ghanaian songwriter, Kofi Kinaata, has shared his opinion whether he’ll ever consider sharing airtime to his fans for them to do a voting session in order for him to win an award when he’s nominated.

The multiple award winner, Kofi Kinaata in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central in Cape Coast said

“Giving or sharing airtime to your fans to vote in awards won’t let you know your true fans. Then why not you using the airtime to vote for yourself instead? It defies logic and it won’t let you know your support base.

“What’s the essence of having fans? When you get nomination for awards, it’s the fans who vote with their own airtime to prove their support for you.

“As for the fans we do a lot of things for them aside entertainment. We do things that are necessary.

“We don’t only ensure their happiness during sad moments but the songs we do also provide a lot of emotional support for them.

“But sometimes when you don’t put physical money into a black man’s pocket he doesn’t remember what you’ve done for them.

“Personally I don’t like doing something for people just for someone to applaud me or for the camera’s sake”.

Some popular Ghanaian artistes like Stonebwoy, Fameye and Kofi Mole have all revealed sometime ago, how they organized voting sessions by sharing free airtime to aid their fans to vote for them in order to win awards.

Free Health Screening and NHIS Issuance & Renewal in Dohini Community: A Collaborative Initiative by Hamdia Issifu

Published

on

On 15th February, I, Hamdia Issifu, founder of Azima Care Foundation and second runner-up of Miss Muslimah Ghana 2024, led a Free Health Screening and NHIS Issuance & Renewal event in the Dohini Community. The event provided Hepatitis B screenings, blood sugar, pressure checks, health education, and both NHIS card renewals and new card issuances to residents in need.

As a Dagomba woman from Northern Ghana, I’ve always been passionate about supporting the less privileged, especially orphans and the homeless. This passion led me to pursue the Miss Muslimah Ghana pageant, where I now use my platform to advocate for health and empowerment in communities like Dohini.

This initiative was made possible by a partnership with NHIS, Tamale Sub, and Ghana Health Service – Tamale Metro Dohini Health Centre. Through this collaboration, we were able to provide vital health services to over 400 people, far exceeding our initial target of 200.

A big thank you to Hon. Attah Issah, the Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, and Alhaji Abass for their generous financial support. Special thanks also go to the volunteers, health professionals, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event.

As I continue my journey to advocate for health and empowerment through Azima Care Foundation, I am grateful for the impact we made in Dohini and look forward to even greater things ahead.
