Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, Mr. Eric Kwesi Taylor has defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Hon. Eric Kwesi Taylor on Tuesday, 27th October, 2020 issued an official communique stating his reasons for defecting from the NDC to NPP. 

Defecting From NDC To NPP

In the letter, the financier of the NDC Party in AOB and aspiring parliamentary candidate stated that, he decided on his own to defect from NDC to NPP due to his admiration of the Manifesto of the Flagbearer of the NPP, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the admirable campaign message delivered by Hon. Adjei Domson, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate of the AOB Constituency at a public meeting at Cocoase on the 25th October, 2020.

FORMAL NOTICE OF DEFECTION TO JOIN NPP 

“I am a Parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency. 

I have decided on my own to defect to join the NPP. This followed my admiration of the Manifesto of the Flagbearer of the NPP, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the admirable campaign message delivered by Hon. Adjei Domson, The NPP Parliamentary Candidate of the AOB Constituency at a public meeting at Cocoase on the 25th October, 2020. 

As a citizen of Breman Asikuma, I felt that the message would go a long way to better the living standards of the people in the community of which I belong to. 

I also want to mention the calm attitude of the leadership of NPP in the constituency as against the insulting and the engagement of thugs against me by the opposing leaders of the NDC led by its Chairman and Parliamentary Candidates respectively. 

In order to protect my life and that of my family, I have taken this bold decision to join this peaceful party. 

I will therefore appreciate it very much if a letter of acceptance could be issued to me to enable me offer my contribution to the already established victory in the party.”
