Mr. Isaac Hagan Essien – Former Constituency Chariman For National Democratic Congress (NDC) – Asikuma Odoben Brakwa

Former Constituency Chairman for the  National Democratic Congress in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Mr. Isaac Hagan Essien has defected to join the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency. 

Mr. Isaac Hagan Essien popularly known as Chairman Essien renounced his Opposition NDC Party last weekend when he canvassed for Votes for Honourable Emmanuel Adjei Domson, the Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency.

Chairman Essien was spotted among the NPP campaign team on Friday, 4th September, 2020 in Agona Odoben during community based campaigns at Odumase and Kokoado when he gave good testimonies about Hon. Adjei Domson and preached his good works during his tenure in office as DCE. 

He educated the electorates on some of the developmental projects Hon. Adjei Domson did in Agona Odoben and reasons why they should vote for him to continue his good legacy.

After his campaign, he assured Hon. Adjei Domson of thousand (1000) votes from his camp in Agona Odoben come December 7th General Election.

On Sunday, 6th September, 2020, Former NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr Isaac Essien was again spotted among the AOB-NPP campaign team members for Hon. Emmanuel Adjei during their campaign tour at Breman Fosuansa and Towoboase communities. 

Speaking at the Campaign grounds at Breman Fosuansa, Chairman Essien confidently renounced NDC and expressed his joy and satisfaction for joining the Elephant family and his readiness to work effectively for Hon. Adjei Domson and President Akufo-Addo to win the general election for NPP.

When addressing electorates at Breman Towoboase, Chairman Essien preached the good works of Hon. Adjei Domson and urged  all electorates to vote massively for him if they really want more developmental projects in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency. 

Immediately after his campaign at Towoboase,   Sintim Media Reporter for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District, had a brief conversation with him and enquired about his reasons for defecting to the New Patriotic Party.

Chairman Essien With AOB NPP Campaign Team At Breman Fosuansa

Chairman Essien replied by saying, “ I know the capabilities of Hon. Adjei Domson from his days as a student leader when he became NUGS President and General Secretary for All-Africa Students Union and the good developmental projects and policies he saw to their construction and implementation during his tenure in office as the District Chief Executive for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District”

According to Chairman Essien, he decided to throw his weight behind Hon. Adjei Domson the night he won the NPP Parliamentary Primaries and he is ready to campaign massively for him and Nana Akufo-Addo to win the 2020 General Election.

Assin North independent candidate hopeful Elkanah Fredrick Ayittey has shared a strong message emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in national development and leadership.
