Hon. Alhassan Kobina Ghansah to lose Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Seat, Global Infoanalytics Projects

The incumbent member of parliament for the good people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Kobina Ghansah is in serious trouble as he’s been projected to lose his seat come 2024 Parliamentary Election.

This is evident in a Mid-Term Poll analysis, an in-depth national and constituency electoral research conducted by Global Infoanalytics across the 275 constituencies in Ghana.

The presentation of the research findings was analyzed by Mr. Mussa Dankwah, the Executive Director of Global Infoanalytics, on the Point of View show hosted by Bernard Avle last Wednesday night.

According to Mr. Mussa Dankwah, the Executive Director of Global Infoanalytics, the NDC MP for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency is in serious trouble as majority of the people who voted for him during the 2020 elections are set to Vote against him come 2024 Parliamentary elections if he contests.

The analysis made by the Executive Director of Global Infoanalytics projected that, Only 17.4% of electorates are ready to vote for Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah come 2024 elections.

According to Mr. Mussa Dankwah, out of the 52.54% of electoral percentage achieved by Hon. Alhaji Kobina Ghansah in the 2020 elections, over 43.2% of the electorates will vote against him come 2024.

The Executive Director of Global Infoanalytics, Mr. Mussa Dankwa further emphasized that, the 5.08% Margin of Victory achieved by Hon. Alhaji Kobina Ghansah in 2020 is too thin for him to retain the seat for the NDC and as a result of this, a swing in the election will cause his defeat.

However, if John Mahama wins the Presidential elections as the poll indicates, he could carry the MP, Hon. Alhaji Kobina Ghansah with him.

The research findings concluded that, the incumbent MP for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Alhassan Kobina Ghansah is Vulnerable.

Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah Retains Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency Seat

Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, the incumbent member of parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency, has been re-elected to represent the constituency for the next four years for a second term.

He won the 2024 parliamentary election with 25,244 votes, defeating her opponent, Winifred Ababio-Ayin of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who received 22,498 votes.

Hon. Alhaji Ghansah assumed his role as Member of Parliament for the first time in 2020, when he defeated the NPP’s Hon. Emmanuel Adjei Domson.

In his first term, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah carried out many developmental projects and initiatives that helped improve the lives of the people and the constituency.

These developmental projects includes, reshaping roads in the district, providing free driving licenses, organizing free eye surgeries, donating over 100,000 roofing sheets for school projects and building mechanized boreholes to solve water problems.

This means Hon. Alhaji Ghansah’s second-term mandate reflects the confidence the people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency have in his leadership and their trust in his commitment to driving development across the constituency.
