KURT OKRAKU APPOINTED CAF 2ND VICE PRESIDENT.

In a significant development for Ghanaian football, Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has been appointed as the 2nd Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The announcement was made during a CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Accra on April 26, 2025, chaired by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

Mr. Okraku’s appointment underscores his growing influence and commitment to the development of football on the continent. Since assuming office as GFA President in 2019, he has led transformative reforms within Ghanaian football, focusing on transparency, grassroots development, and youth programs.
His leadership has been widely recognized, culminating in his election to the CAF Executive Committee in 2021.
The newly-elected CAF Vice Presidents are:
CAF First Vice President: Mr Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco)
CAF Second Vice President: Mr Kurt Okraku (Ghana)
CAF Third Vice President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)
CAF Fourth Vice President: Ms Bestine Kazadi Ditabala (Democratic Republic of Congo)
CAF Fifth Vice President: Mr Feizal Sidat (Mozambique)

These appointments reflect CAF’s commitment to inclusive representation and the promotion of football across all regions of Africa.
