King Promise Nominated For 2021 MOBO Awards Alongside Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido And Others

Ghanaian singer-songwriter, King Promise has been nominated together with 9 different African artists for the Best African Act award at this year’s MOBO Awards.

The organizers of the prestigious MOBO Awards unveiled the full nomination list on Thursday, 11th of November 2021 that is today and the Best African Music Act category include King Promise, WizkidDavidoBurna BoyRema and others.

The MOBO Awards is an annual British awards ceremony that celebrates achievements in “music of black origin”. The show honors the best of the best in Hip-Hop, Grime, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Gospel, and African Music. The 2021 edition of the MOBO Awards will hold at Coventry’s CBS Arena on Sunday, the 5th of December 2021.

10 African acts have been nominated for the Best African Music act at the 2021 MOBO Awards. Of the 10 names on this list of nominees in this particular category, 8 are Nigerians by nationality, while the other two are Ghana’s King Promise and British-African music group, NSG. Other Nigerians on this list nominees asides from the aforementioned (Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy) include; CKay, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, and Ayra Starr.
