Former DCE Honourable Adjei Domson To Contest AOB-NPP Parliamentary Primaries, Outlines Achievements & Reasons Why He Deserves The Mandate.

Former DCE For the good people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District, Hon. Adjei Domson has officially declared his Intentions to Contest in the forthcoming NPP Parliamentary Primaries. The former DCE who worked under Hon. P.C Appiah Ofori outlined some tangible reasons why delegates must give him the mandate.

In a worth reading article, he wrote;

I’m picking my form to contest for the 25th April primaries with so much joy in my heart and a firm belief that my humble district can do far better than we have seen in the last ten years, as a little boy in Ahmadiyya primary school in the 80s I was impressed with the work of Kwasi Oppong as secretary of PNDC especially his road expansion projects popularly known then as Oppong roads and  I was happy when I met him as DCE in 2006 and promised him , that, we were also going to put ink to the roads before 2008 which with the Mp at the time we did.

I had few friends from Brakwa who complained to me about how Brakwa was neglected in terms of senior high education facility then and I promised them one before the end of 2008, which became a reality through my leadership in 2007.

Having seen more accidents at police junction at Asikuma on market days , I decided to install the traffic lights to bring some decency and normalcy to the place and I did it within two months of taking the decision. Dumping of refuse in the center of town at Asikuma was quite an embarrassing sight , with doubts from some people who thought it was mission impossible, I handled it with Midas touch , I built more schools than any one before me and after me and broke grounds for new works in previously unschooled communities in the district like boame Nkwanta with teachers quarters, Asabiem with teachers quarters, amanbetse with same infrastructure.

In international politics and relation I brought more influential people to visit the district from America, USAID, world bank , UN and several ministers of state to our district than anyone. Supported more than four hundred young ones to access  teacher training colleges.

When I see a leader who can perform I don’t struggle to see , and when I see one with no ideas to resuscitate the fortunes of the people too I see with ease. Our progress is a function of our leadership. AOB deserves new direction , creative leadership and that’s why I’m putting myself up as the most credible candidate to lead our great party and ultimately our great district the lord being my helper.

Signed:

Honourable Adjei Domson

Bright Mumuni Commends President Mahama for Assenting Legal Education Bill into Law

Published

Social and education advocate Bright Mumuni has commended President John Dramani Mahama for assenting to the Legal Education Act, describing the move as a bold and progressive decision that will expand access to legal education in Ghana.

According to Bright Mumuni, the President’s decision to sign the bill into law demonstrates a strong commitment to educational reforms, equal opportunities, and institutional development.

He noted that for many years, several qualified law graduates have struggled to gain admission into professional legal training due to limited spaces and restrictions, making the reform a major relief for aspiring legal professionals across the country.

Bright Mumuni stated that ending the exclusive authority of the Ghana School of Law over professional legal education will help create healthy competition and open doors for more accredited institutions to provide quality legal training.

“I commend the President for assenting to this important bill into law. This is a progressive step that will create more opportunities for young Ghanaians who aspire to study law and contribute meaningfully to national development,” he said.

He further emphasized that legal education goes beyond producing practicing lawyers, explaining that knowledge of the law helps citizens better understand their rights, responsibilities, and civic obligations.

According to him, a society where more people understand the law is one that promotes accountability, justice, and democratic growth.

Bright Mumuni also praised the President for signing the Value for Money Office Act and the Governance Advisory Council Act, stating that the establishment of stronger accountability institutions is necessary for fighting corruption and ensuring responsible governance.

He added that the three legislations represent important national reforms that can strengthen public trust and improve transparency in governance if properly implemented.
