Central Music Awards 2024: Full List of Winners

The 13th Central Music Awards was a resounding success, honoring artistes and key music industry players for the year in review and their tireless efforts and contributions to the growth and development of the central region’s music industry.

This year, 37 prestigious awards were presented to deserving creatives across various categories. 

Dailey’s Entertainment signee and Agona Swedru-based Afrobeat/Highlife artiste, Twicy, emerged as the coveted Artiste of the Year, also securing the Male Vocalist of the Year award.

Chairman Nicholas Hagan, presenting Artiste of the Year Award to Hon. Bawa Bowejor, Academy Member and District Rep for Agona West Municipal on behalf of Twicy.

Other distinguished dignitaries and music business executives honored during the ceremony included Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta II, Chief Kweku Etuaful, and Mr. Nicholas Hagan, Chairman of the Scheme. The evening was filled with captivating moments, presentations, and electrifying performances that enthralled patrons.

The 13th Central Music Awards was proudly powered by Heritage Promotions and sponsored by TW Radio 88.9, Club 161, EN.AR Limited, JetCast, BB Winery & Li-Quora, and Fays Lounge.

Themed “Music is Business,” the event took place on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Centre for National Culture in Cape Coast.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000

Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.

Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.

He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.

Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.

The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.

The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.

The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.

The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
