Accra Metropolitan University (Accra Met) has once again raised the flag of Ghana high on the global stage as it participated in the 15th Annual African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE) Conference held from October 8–10, 2025, at the prestigious Hotel Africana in Kampala, Uganda. The milestone conference brought together academics, policymakers, and thought leaders from across the world to deliberate on the future of education, partnerships, and innovation across Africa.

At the heart of this year’s conference was Prof. Goski Alabi, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Accra Metropolitan University and Chair of the ANIE Board. A trailblazer in education and a transformative leader whose influence extends beyond Ghana’s borders, Prof. Alabi’s presence and contribution reaffirmed her global stature as one of Africa’s foremost voices in higher education development.

The 2025 edition, themed around “Geopolitical Shifts and the Future of Internationalisation in Africa”, explored crucial topics such as South–South–North partnerships, digital transformation, and academic resilience. The discussions resonated strongly with Prof. Alabi’s lifelong advocacy for creating globally competitive African universities capable of driving local and international development agendas.

Accompanying Prof. Alabi were two PhD students from Accra Metropolitan University — Addo Opoku Bernard and Lawrence Ashie Alantee — who actively participated in academic sessions and professional workshops.
