Respect Is Earned Not Given – Pastor Ben Writes
The General Overseer of Devine Covenant Chapel International, Pastor Benjamin Opoku-Mensah as part of his daily motivational messages shared a great masterpiece which talks about Self Respect.
The motivational message is written below as shared by Pastor Ben.
There is a risk of darkness if you are the only light in the family. But in being kind, be extra careful. Don’t feed every hungry person you see around, some of them just need strength to betray and bite you. Some people can easily change you from “what you were” to “what are you”.
Be very careful in allowing some people into your life. Remember, snakes often come with the prettiest mask.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be talked to. Respect is earned, not given.
Every closed eye is not sleeping, and every open eye is not seeing.
A person’s most beautiful asset is not a head full of knowledge, but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others. Friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest. It’s about who walked into your life, said I’m here for you and proved it.
We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.
