Osei-Gyamfi Prince Graduates with a Master of Arts Degree in Information Science from the University of Cape Coast

Osei-Gyamfi Prince, Information Science Professional

Mr. Osei-Gyamfi Prince is an information science professional and development practitioner with over a decade of experience designing, coordinating, and leading evidence-based initiatives in knowledge management, youth development, digital inclusion, and community empowerment across Ghana.

Prince is currently the Youth Engagement Centre Coordinator in Cape Coast, overseeing a Ghana Library Authority/UNICEF–partnered project aimed at empowering young people with digital, entrepreneurial, and advocacy skills.

Prince recently celebrated a significant academic milestone, graduating with a Master of Arts Degree in Information Science from the University of Cape Coast Graduate School, where he distinguished himself as one of the leading graduands from the Department of Information Science in the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, Faculty of Arts.

Osei-Gyamfi Prince, Information Science Professional

Mr. Osei-Gyamfi’s expertise in Information Science spans several key areas, including Research Methods in Information Science, Management of Print and Electronic Records, Information Ethics, Law, Licensing and Policies, Collection Development and Management, Artificial Intelligence in Information Science, Social Media Technologies and Information Services for Persons with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

With over a decade of experience in library and knowledge services, Mr. Osei-Gyamfi is a confident and highly organized information professional dedicated to making information, digital skills, and opportunities more accessible to people from all walks of life.

His work spans education, youth development, project coordination, and community empowerment.

Notable Achievements Include:

1. Coordinating the LOCAL Digital Reading Project (2018), which increased library patronage in Ghana’s Central Region to over 24,000.

2. Co-leading an early-grade reading intervention (2019) that benefited 1,700 learners in the Central Region of Ghana.

3. Coordinating the EKON Community Literacy Project (2021), which provided 1,070 learners with access to over 2,000 reading materials.

4. Leading the Cape Coast Youth Engagement Centre (2022–2023), impacting 2,500 young people through seminars, mentorship, and digital training programs.


Beyond his efforts in education and project coordination, Mr. Osei-Gyamfi Prince, popularly known as “Prince Trinity”, has built extensive experience in event production, project coordination, program design, and humanitarian management, contributing to creative, cultural, and social development initiatives across the Central Region and beyond.

1. Production Head – Heritage Promotions (2018–Present)

He has served as the Production Head for Heritage Promotions, the organizers for the annual Central Music Awards since 2018, overseeing the planning, coordination, and successful execution of the Central Music Awards and its related activities. His role includes activity coordination, stakeholder engagement, program design, and production oversight to ensure smooth and impactful events.

2. Program Design Lead – Inspire Cape Coast

He served as the Program Design Lead for the Inspire Cape Coast organizing team, contributing to activity conceptualization, event flow structuring, and ensuring alignment with the initiative’s creative development vision.

3. Project Coordinator – September in Cape Coast

He served as a Project Coordinator for September in Cape Coast (2023), an initiative that created sustained social and cultural buzz for the city each September. The project enhanced tourism, youth participation, and community engagement through coordinated creative and cultural activities.

4. Organizing Team Member – Coronation of Nana Nuamah II

He was part of the organizing team for the coronation of Nana Nuamah II, the Development Chief of Brimsu Apewosika in the Central Region. The event attracted a large audience and required effective planning, coordination, and traditional protocol management.

He has designed budgets, program outlines, proposals, and written content for numerous creatives, organizations, and institutions within the Central Region and beyond, supporting project execution, funding applications, and professional presentations.

Humanitarian and Social Impact Leadership

He currently serves as the Manager of the Ote Dollar Foundation, where he supervised the planning and implementation of three major humanitarian initiatives in 2025.

Under the leadership of the Foundation’s Executive Director, Mr. Rockson Arthur, the Ote Dollar Foundation has emerged as one of Ghana’s growing forces for community-centered social impact. Throughout 2025, the Foundation strengthened its role as a trusted partner by delivering practical, compassionate, and people-focused interventions.

1. Support for Learners with Special Needs (March 5, 2025)

The Foundation visited Aboom School for Special Needs in Cape Coast, donating educational materials and essential toiletries. This initiative reinforced the Foundation’s commitment to inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity for children with special needs.

2. Community Health Outreach – Oguaa Fetu Afahye (September 3–5, 2025)

In partnership with the Adisadel Urban Health Center, the Foundation provided free health screenings and counseling services, including Hb and malaria testing, mental health support, nutrition education, and family planning services. The outreach particularly benefited elderly community members and aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

3. Maternal Health Support – Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (September 2025)

The Foundation donated essential delivery and postnatal care items to the Delivery Suite of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, easing the burden on new mothers facing financial hardship and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering safer, more dignified maternal care. This initiative directly supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

MTN Ghana Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives Make a Lasting Impact

The MTN Ghana Foundation has been at the forefront of championing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at driving growth and development in communities across the country.

During a panel discussion at the 2025 MTN Media and Stakeholders Forum held on Thursday, October 30, at Elmina Beach Resort, Mr. Michael Gbowonyo, General Manager of Internal Audit and Forensics at MTN Ghana, highlighted the foundation’s remarkable CSR endeavors.

2025 Media & Stakeholders Forum – Panel Discussion

With over 170 projects implemented nationwide, the MTN Ghana Foundation’s CSR initiatives are focused on three key areas: Education, Health, and Economic Empowerment. In the realm of Education, the foundation has made significant contributions, including the construction of classroom blocks, school dormitories, libraries, and ICT centers for schools and prisons.

Additionally, the MTN Bright Scholarship initiative has provided full educational sponsorship opportunities to thousands of tertiary students and approximately 200 teachers across the country.

In the Health sector, the MTN Ghana Foundation has made substantial investments, including the provision of fully equipped blood banks at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Winneba Trauma Hospital. Furthermore, the foundation has constructed a 15-bed children’s ward at the Twifo Praso District Hospital at a total cost of GHC 150,000.

Other notable initiatives include the “Yellow Care” program, which supports infants in hospitals, and annual sponsorships and donations to traditional councils in the Central Region during festivals such as the Edina Bakatue, Oguaa Fetu Afahye, and Aboakyire.

Through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the MTN Ghana Foundation is making a tangible impact in the lives of Ghanaians, demonstrating the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
