OGUN OLARMS: Ogun Opens Online Land Purchase Platform

ABEOKUTA – As part of its concerted in providing seamless land purchase services in the state, the Ogun state government will tomorrow launch Ogun State Land Administration and Revenue Management System (OLARMS) portal.

According to a statement credited to the State Commissioner for finance, Dapo Okubadejo, the digital services is to remove bureaucratic bottlenecks associated with land purchase by private individuals and corporate organizations.

Okubadejo maintained that, the portal is designed to provide a contemporary online solution for potential land buyers with a view to streamlining and ensuring seamless process of land purchase, administration and management in the State.

He said the formal launch of the portal scheduled for Wednesday, 27th October, 2021 at the Ogun Tech Hub, near President Muhammadu Buhari Estate, Kobape road, Abeokuta, will equally create an opportunity for the residents of the state and the general public to conduct land services matters through a single simple online portal.

Okubadejo further explained that OLARMS will create a digitized, automated and accessible platform that will provide quality, speed and integrity for all land related products and services in Ogun State.

“OLARMS will open up the opportunity to easily do business that relates to land in Ogun State.

“From the 27th of October, 2021, buying land directly from the government will be stress free and transparent without encumbrances as everything can now be processed online through our website: www. olarms.ogunstate.gov.ng.

“The schemes available for sale on the OLARMS website from 27th October, 2021 include Hill Crest Estate, Abeokuta and the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate, along Kobape Road, Abeokuta. Other schemes in other areas of the State will be added unto OLARMS in the nearest future for residential, commercial and industrial land acquisition”, the commissioner stated.

He also noted that the portal will also offer the public who have encroached on the state government land in different parts of the state an opportunity to get title documents for such land via the State Governments Property Registration Programme (PRP), an amnesty programme available for only a defined period.

“PRP is being offered in phases starting with areas such as Ikereku-olokuta, Ijeun Lukosi, Laderin, Abule-oko, Agunreti, in Abeokuta South, and Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. Asese, Mowe, Orimerunmu, Makogi, Sefiu Sote, Olowotedo, Magboro Akeran, Ibafo, in Obafemi/Owode and Ifo Local Government Areas, Aiyetoro, Lukosi, Seidu, Ogijo, ilara, Aguntoye Villages, Shimawa, Emagbon, Konigbagbe, in Sagamu L.G.A and Ilaro, Township in Yewa South L.G.A”, Okubadejo added.

He, however, disclosed that OLARMS will cater for CofO applications made by property home owners in Ogun State who applied through the Home Owners Charter scheme of the previous administration, while  assuring that title documents will be provided to all applicants who made full payment to the state government but are yet to receive their title documents.

“The State Government recognizes that landed assets are arguably the most beneficial asset any government or people have at their disposal to bring about prosperity. And that is why the State Government has taken this step to ensure an enabling environment is put in place via the implementation of an effective land administration system that would support the aspirations of her people.

MTN Ghana Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives Make a Lasting Impact

The MTN Ghana Foundation has been at the forefront of championing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at driving growth and development in communities across the country.

During a panel discussion at the 2025 MTN Media and Stakeholders Forum held on Thursday, October 30, at Elmina Beach Resort, Mr. Michael Gbowonyo, General Manager of Internal Audit and Forensics at MTN Ghana, highlighted the foundation’s remarkable CSR endeavors.

With over 170 projects implemented nationwide, the MTN Ghana Foundation’s CSR initiatives are focused on three key areas: Education, Health, and Economic Empowerment. In the realm of Education, the foundation has made significant contributions, including the construction of classroom blocks, school dormitories, libraries, and ICT centers for schools and prisons.

Additionally, the MTN Bright Scholarship initiative has provided full educational sponsorship opportunities to thousands of tertiary students and approximately 200 teachers across the country.

In the Health sector, the MTN Ghana Foundation has made substantial investments, including the provision of fully equipped blood banks at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Winneba Trauma Hospital. Furthermore, the foundation has constructed a 15-bed children’s ward at the Twifo Praso District Hospital at a total cost of GHC 150,000.

Other notable initiatives include the “Yellow Care” program, which supports infants in hospitals, and annual sponsorships and donations to traditional councils in the Central Region during festivals such as the Edina Bakatue, Oguaa Fetu Afahye, and Aboakyire.

Through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the MTN Ghana Foundation is making a tangible impact in the lives of Ghanaians, demonstrating the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
