Ronald Koeman has been sacked as head coach for Barcelona after 14 months in charge.
After their 1-0 defeats against Rayo Vallecano in their 10th La Liga appearance this season with four losses in six games in all competition.
The Dutch International replaced Quique Setien in August 2020 but has failed to make an impact at Camp Nou making 10 La liga appearance this season with.
According to club president, Joan Laporta in a brief statement released on the club website stated “FC Barcelona has relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties as first team coach”.
Again he added that; “Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad on Thursday at the Ciutat Esportiva”.
FC Barcelona wishes to thank him for his service to the club and wishes him all the best in professional career.
The club are in a negotiation to appoint former player Xavi to be in charge in the coming days at Barcelona.
