The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District, Hon. Olivia Bentil, has commissioned a newly completed 2-unit Kindergarten (KG) block with ancillary facilities and a mechanized borehole at Amoanda, describing the projects as another demonstration of the NDC government’s commitment to improving education and the welfare of communities.

The projects reflect the development agenda of H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s administration, which continues to prioritize quality education, access to safe drinking water and equitable infrastructure development across the country.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Olivia Bentil said the facilities reaffirm the government’s determination to invest in the future of Ghanaian children by creating a safe and conducive environment for teaching and learning while improving access to essential social services.

She commended President John Dramani Mahama for his strong commitment to strengthening Ghana’s education sector and ensuring that no community is left behind in the country’s development agenda.

The DCE also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the Member of Parliament for the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, for his continuous advocacy and collaboration with the District Assembly to attract development projects that are improving the lives of constituents.

Hon. Olivia Bentil urged parents, teachers and community members to take ownership of the new facilities by maintaining them to ensure they serve generations of schoolchildren.

The newly commissioned 2-unit KG block is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment for kindergarten pupils, while the mechanized borehole will supply Amoanda and surrounding communities with clean and reliable drinking water, further advancing the NDC government’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development.
