As part of its 12th anniversary celebrations, Lekma Hospital held a special ceremony to honour individuals and organizations that have played a significant role in supporting the hospital’s growth and mission over the years. Among those recognized was Blessed Care International Foundation, a long-time partner whose consistent contributions have made a lasting impact on healthcare delivery at the facility.

The Foundation received an award in recognition of its continued support through medical donations, community outreach initiatives, and infrastructure support, which have directly improved patient care and enhanced the hospital’s capacity to serve the community. Over the years, Blessed Care International Foundation has supplied essential medical equipment, supported free health screenings, and contributed to various health education programs aimed at promoting preventive care.

During the event, the hospital’s management expressed profound gratitude to Blessed Care International Foundation, describing the organization as a “pillar of support” whose interventions have helped fill critical gaps in resources and service delivery.

The ceremony also saw the recognition of traditional leaders, chiefs, and other dignitaries whose influence and advocacy have contributed to the hospital’s development.

As Lekma Hospital looks ahead, officials announced the ongoing construction of the second phase of the hospital, which will significantly expand service capacity. They appealed for additional sponsorship and support from benevolent organizations and individuals to help bring the project to completion.

Blessed Care International Foundation has recently undertaken several impactful initiatives across Ghana, focusing on healthcare, education, and community empowerment. They have donated vital medical equipment to hospitals, promoted hygiene and sanitation, and supported maternal and child health services. In education, they’ve provided thousands of school uniforms and learning materials, and are currently raising funds for a school bus in the Bole district. Their “Feed the Streets” initiative supports vulnerable groups with meals and essentials, while menstrual health campaigns provide hygiene products and education to girls in underserved regions. Additionally, the foundation hosted the NGO Founders Global Network conference in Accra to promote youth and nonprofit development. They continue to expand medical outreach by seeking transportation and logistics support to reach remote communities, reflecting their ongoing commitment to social impact and national development.
