Agona Swedru to host official launching of Central Music Awards 10th Anniversary Celebration

Heritage Promotions, the organizers of the annual Central Music Awards, has scheduled the official launching of its 10th Anniversary celebration for Saturday, 18th September, 2021 in Agona Swedru.

Preparations for the Central Music Awards 10th Anniversary celebration begun with a refreshing and an educative Music Seminar which was held on 31st July, 2021 at Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast.

The successful music seminar saw in attendance renowned creative art personalities, Entertainment and media moguls, music and digital Marketing experts including; Sammy Flex, Ricky Tenneson, Mix Master Garzy, Jonilar, and Kwame Dadzie who educated musicians and emerging creative talents in Central Region.

After the music seminar, the board opened nominations from July 31 to August 14 for musicians and creative personalities from the region and in good standing with great works from October 2019 to July 2021 to file in order to be nominated in the 10th edition of the award scheme.

As part of Heritage Promotions’ plan to make the 10th Anniversary mega and incorporate all creative talent across the length and breadth of the region, the board of Central Music Awards has slated the official launching of the 10th Anniversary celebration for Saturday, 18th September, 2021 at Cedi Lounge & Kitchen, located at Agona Swedru in the Agona West Municipality.

According to Heritage Promotions, the official nominees list for the 10th edition of Central Music Awards will be unveiled during the launching.

All musicians and industry players in Central region are advised to meet at Cedi Lounge and Kitchen (CLK) in Agona Swedru at exactly 7PM.

This announcement was made in an official communique issued yesterday, 3rd September, 2021 by Heritage Promotions on their official Facebook page.

We are pleased to announce to the populace that, the lauch of the BIG 10 and Nominees Announcement will take place in Swedru. The venue for the celebration has been fixed at Cedi Lounge and Kitchen and the ceremony starts at 7pm.

On the 18th of September 2021, Heritage Promotions and Events together with industry players will celebrate the progress of Central Music and also unveil the various categories .

It is with love that, we shift attention from Cape Coast to Swedru to allow all, enjoy the attention and buzz this year’s event comes with. We acknowledge each and every one for their hard work, talent, and dedication.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000

Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.

Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.

He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.

Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.

The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.

The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.

The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.

The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
