Afrikaba Ronnie To Receive An African Community Achievement Award in USA

A member of the Film Directors Guild of Ghana Ronnie Ato Paintsil popularly known as Afrikaba has been nominated for African Community Achievement Award through AFRIFAMU (AFRIFAMUACAA 2022) in America.

Ronnie Ato Paintsil (Afrikaba Ronnie) is a media practitioner expect in film production, music, artiste, and event management. He is also a social media influencer who has touched the lives of many Ghanaian youths. He is the Youth Tourism Minister Youth Empowerment Consortium, Ghana. The Deputy Majority Leaders for Agona West Municipal Youth Parliament. Resource Person for MidSouth Black Film Festival, Tennessee.

Youth Empowerment Programs:

The organizer of the Mental Toughness Seminar. An event set to help the youth discover their potentials and empower them to partake in individual and societal development.

Women In Filmmaking: Ronnie had a partnership with La Cruz studios(Ghana) and  Fulton Film Company in Los Angeles headed by Mr. George Ohan where four female Filmmakers came to Ghana to train 10 young women in film during the Year of Return.

Rural Girls Education Awareness: with a partnership with friends, occasionally visit rural areas to create awareness on Girl Child Education and provide them with educational materials.

Drug Abuse: Regular orientation is done for young ones to resist drug abuse which is a major problem in African society.

Music Concerts: There have been musical events to help project and discover new musical talent.

Sanitation: There is a regular clean-up exercise in partnership with other organizations to promote good health.

Philanthropy:( Covid-19 ) 5000 nose masks and sanitizers were provided to the street and some rural children to help keep them safe. ( These were supported by George Ohan and friends from the USA)

Film Documentary: A Production Manager to Eagle Sight Production/Afriwood Media led by Mclord Ice Impraim and Haruna Zoree Seidu Soale  to do documentaries on Physical Challenge people who are creative and contribute to national development.

Skills and Job Creation: In partnership with Adeline Baidoo who is a renowned Gospel musician, a lecturer fashion entrepreneur trained 20 young girls on bead making and Clothing.

Recruiting over 200 actors for film production in Ghana.

Candyman Lucas Mensah to Sponsor Central Music Awards’ New Artiste of the Year Category with GH¢5,000

Renowned Ghanaian media personality and Founder of the Central Music Awards (CMA), Mr. Candyman Lucas Mensah, has pledged GH¢5,000 in sponsorship for the New Artiste of the Year category at the 15th Central Music Awards.

Mr. Mensah made the announcement during the 15th CMA Seminar held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Samrit Hotel in Cape Coast ahead of the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the prestigious Central Music Awards.

Speaking on the topic, “From an Idea to a Movement: The CMA Journey at 15,” Mr. Mensah reflected on the experiences that led to the establishment of the Central Music Awards, highlighting the challenges, achievements and lessons from the awards’ 15-year journey.

He also outlined his vision for the continued growth of the awards scheme, particularly its role in identifying, nurturing and promoting emerging musical talents from the Central Region to compete at higher levels.

Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mensah said his contribution was driven by his commitment to supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for young talents within the region.

The sponsorship will support the New Artiste of the Year category as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Central Music Awards.

The seminar, held under the theme “Celebrating the Journey, Taking Stock, Building Tomorrow,”brought together musicians, artiste managers, media personalities, bloggers, content creators, event organisers and other key stakeholders in the creative industry from across the Central Region’s 22 districts.

The programme featured presentations by creative industry professionals and academics, including Dr. Margaret Delali Numekevor, Lecturer at the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, and Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, former Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Central Region.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Bismark Botchwey, Deputy Communications Executive at Heritage Promotions.

The annual CMA seminar provides a platform for creatives to gain knowledge and practical insights into developing their craft, strengthening their brands, building professional networks and promoting their work to meet international standards.
