Blessed Care International has been honoured with the Excellence in Social Innovation Award and Transformational Impact Award at the just-ended Iconic Excellence Awards, a recognition that highlights the organization’s enduring efforts to uplift underserved communities across Ghana through innovative and sustainable social interventions.

Founded with a mission to promote health, education, and empowerment, Blessed Care International has over the years implemented life-changing programs targeting vulnerable groups. From organizing mobile medical outreaches in rural areas to supporting the education of underprivileged children, the organization has consistently focused on bridging the gap between opportunity and access.

One of its most impactful areas of work has been in community health. Through partnerships with health professionals and local volunteers, Blessed Care International provides free medical screenings, health education, and maternal care services to thousands of people who otherwise lack regular access to healthcare. Their approach ensures that even the most remote communities are not left behind.

The organization also invests heavily in education. Its scholarship and school support initiatives have helped hundreds of children stay in school by providing uniforms, books, tuition assistance, and mentorship. For young people and women, Blessed Care International runs skills training programs aimed at creating employment and reducing dependency. These efforts have empowered many beneficiaries to start small businesses and support their families.

The award from the Iconic Excellence Awards is a reflection of the organization’s innovative approach to development—designing programs that are not only practical but also sustainable. The selection committee cited Blessed Care International’s ability to create “community-led change through simple yet effective models” as one of the key reasons for its recognition.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, the Director of Blessed Care International expressed gratitude for the honour and acknowledged the collective effort behind the success. “This award is a tribute to our volunteers, donors, and the communities we work with. It inspires us to keep going and to do even more,” he said.

Beyond health and education, the organization is also active in environmental advocacy. Through community clean-up exercises, tree planting campaigns, and climate awareness programs, Blessed Care International encourages environmental responsibility among youth and local leaders.

As it marks this milestone, the organization is looking ahead with ambitious plans. These include expanding its community health projects, introducing mental health education, and strengthening its digital tools to reach more beneficiaries efficiently. It also aims to build new partnerships to support the scale-up of its programs across more regions in Ghana.
