Ghanaian youth leader and gender advocate Christabel Queensley Derby Donkor has added another milestone to her illustrious career. On December 14, 2024, she was conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Letters (Hon. D.Litt.) by the American Bible University for her groundbreaking contributions to youth empowerment, gender advocacy, and public policy.
This honor underscores her enduring legacy as a changemaker on the global stage.

Born on November 22, 1995, in Huni Valley, Christabel’s ascent to prominence has been nothing short of extraordinary. She holds the distinction of being the first African and female to serve as Vice Chairperson for Inclusion and Engagement on the Commonwealth Youth Council, a position she held from 2021 to 2024. As a passionate advocate for human rights and development policy, her initiatives have fostered inclusivity and opportunity for countless young people worldwide.

Her leadership extends beyond titles. As the founder of Derby’s Foundation Ghana, she has spearheaded programs that equip young people with skills, knowledge, and platforms to advocate for their rights.
