During his acceptance address, Prof. Alabi reflected on his journey with UPSA—how he encountered the university at a modest state and led its transformation into the world-class institution it is today. He emphasized that true institutional excellence is not accidental but a product of consistent values and disciplined leadership.

He shared profound words that resonated deeply with the audience:
“Vision must meet integrity; hard work must meet teamwork.”
According to him, these guiding principles shaped the culture, strategy, and achievements of UPSA during his tenure and continue to serve as pillars for sustainable growth in any institution.

Prof. Alabi also expressed gratitude to the governing council, faculty, alumni, and students whose collective efforts fueled the university’s historic rise. He further dedicated the honor to all educational leaders committed to innovation, ethical leadership, and youth development.

As Founder of Accra Metropolitan University, Prof. Alabi’s recognition at UPSA serves not only as a personal achievement but also as a national acknowledgment of his decades-long commitment to quality education, good governance, and transformational leadership in Ghana and across Africa.
