The 55year old singer was found guilty of using his fame to sexually abuse young fans after coming face to face with some of his victims as they confronted him in court on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

For the victims of the R&B singer R. Kelly, his sentencing in New York on Wednesday has been a long wait, arriving after decades of accusations of sexual and physical abuse. But Wednesday’s decision aside, the former entertainer will remain in deep legal peril and any prison term he faces could still ultimately grow.

Mr. Kelly is scheduled to stand trial again in Chicago on Aug. 15, where he faces federal charges for producing child pornography and luring minors into sex acts.

Participants examined how Artificial Intelligence can enhance newsroom efficiency and audience engagement while preserving the human voice, editorial integrity, and ethical standards at the heart of broadcasting.

Smith highlighted the importance of responsible innovation:
“AI may support radio, but it must never replace the human voice, ethics, and trust that define credible journalism.”

A Strategic Industry Dialogue
The Afrika Radio Business Mixer was designed as more than a networking platform. It served as a strategic industry dialogue, creating a collaborative space for:
• Conversations on media sustainability
• Exploration of digital transformation in broadcasting
