The song, released ahead of this year’s Homowo Festival celebrations, is already generating attention among lovers of Ga music and traditional highlife sounds. According to Nee Oseye Ade Leke, the project is a tribute to Ghanaian musical heritage and a way of reconnecting the younger generation with the sounds that shaped the past.

“I Dey Think About You” is a recreated version of a classic song originally performed by Nii Lamptey and the African Stars, a Ghanaian music group based in the United Kingdom during the 1960s. Nee Oseye Ade Leke explained that he decided to revive the timeless record by adding fresh lyrics and modern touches while still preserving the original essence of the music.

The artiste noted that the aim is to bring back memories for the elderly while also introducing authentic Ga highlife music to younger audiences.

Speaking about his musical journey, the artiste also revealed that he has earned a nomination at the upcoming GMA USA 2026 awards scheduled for August 8. His song “BABALOMIA” has been nominated in the Best Highlife Song category, marking another major milestone in his career.
