Ghanaian musician Nee Oseye Ade Leke has been honoured at the 2026 Sankofa African Network Impact Awards and Gala for his three decades of contribution to music, creative expression and community service.

The veteran artiste was recognised at the ceremony held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Divine Word Event Place in Woodbridge, Virginia, where individuals and groups making notable contributions to the African community were celebrated.

Organised by the Virginia-based Sankofa African Network, the annual Sania Awards and Gala seeks to celebrate leadership, creativity, service and community impact while strengthening connections among Africans and the wider African diaspora.

For Nee Oseye Ade Leke , the recognition adds another chapter to a career that has spanned about three decades and has been closely connected to Ghanaian and Ga-Dangme
cultural expression.

He has built a reputation around music that draws from African rhythms, highlife and contemporary sounds while maintaining a connection to his cultural roots. His catalogue includes songs such as “Ootse Ntsui”, “Why”, “Babalomia”, “Hello Sunshine” and “Call Am for Me”. His music is available across major streaming platforms, with “Babalomia” emerging as one of his most recognised recent releases.

His commitment to Ga-Dangme music has also been evident in his recent work. In May 2026, he released “I Dey Think About You”, a collaboration with Red Eye Nature.
