I Don’t Want To Create issues For somebody's Marriage – Akofa Edjeani Asiedu

Akofa Edjeani Asiedu, a popular veteran actress, has revealed how one of her acting roles nearly destroyed a fan’s marriage.

According to the actress, a man’s admiration for her acting abilities harmed his relationship with his wife, who was always complaining.

Akofa Edjeani revealed that the couple would have to ‘fight’ whenever one of her films was on TV, and that the woman would occasionally change the channel.

“Everyone assumed I was a wife thief. There was this couple who was always arguing because the wife would change the channel whenever I appeared on the screen. In an interview with Joy FM, she stated,

“The man insists on watching me because I’m his favorite, but the woman will stand her ground.”

“Eventually, he had to purchase a new television, and whenever my show is on, he will tune in. It was a source of contention. I don’t want to cause any marriage problems,” she added.

The veteran actor has cautioned viewers not to mix up the roles actors play with their personal lives, saying:

“All the audience or viewers need to know is that we are portraying a role, so if I’m playing a drunkard, a call girl, or a doctor, that is not who we are; we are just portraying the role.”
