Empower Africa Alliance and Derby Foundation, two leading organizations championing youth and gender empowerment in Ghana, have brought a transformative wave of hope to the Yagaba Kubori constituency with their impactful Community and Schools Engagement Tour. The initiative, spearheaded by Christabel Derby, made a lasting impact by donating vital learning materials and empowering girls and women with essential hygiene supplies.

The tour reached hundreds of schoolchildren across the constituency, distributing 2,000 exercise books and 1,000 sanitary pads.

In addition to these generous donations, students were educated on the importance of education, menstrual hygiene, and reproductive health, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed academically and personally.

“We believe that education is the cornerstone of societal transformation, and empowering young girls with the tools and knowledge they need to stay in school is critical,” said Christabel Derby, founder of Empower Africa Alliance. “Through this initiative, we are not only providing resources but inspiring dreams.”

The event received immense support from the Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Yagaba Kubori constituency. His unwavering commitment to youth development and gender equity was instrumental in making the event a success.

The project also reached women in the community, further emphasizing the importance of menstrual hygiene as a foundation for healthy and empowered living. The distribution of sanitary pads to women addressed a long-standing need in the area, breaking barriers and restoring dignity.

Empower Africa Alliance and Derby’s Foundation continue to set a benchmark in community service, demonstrating the power of partnership and grassroots impact. The Yagaba Kubori initiative is a testament to what is possible when organizations and leaders join hands to prioritize the well-being of their people.
