David de Gea, Pogba And Others unfollows Mason Greenwood After Rape Allegation

The Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea has unfollowed teammates Mason Greenwood from his social media after the teenager was allegedly accused of rape.

Other footballers at the club such as Paul Pogba, Alex Telles, Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani have also unfollow the young English player from their Instagram friend.

For those who are not aware, Harriet Robson has accused Mason Greenwood of domestic abuse through images on her social media account, with videos that followed which suggested that the footballer was attempting to force her to have sexual intercourse.

Manchester United have said they “do not condone violence of any kind” after their player, Mason Greenwood, was accused of assaulting a woman”.

Manchester United part ways with Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United has officially ended their partnership with manager Erik ten Hag after a difficult period of poor results and rising tension within the club.

Ten Hag, who became manager in 2022, had early success by winning the Carabao Cup and reaching the FA Cup final. However, this past season brought serious problems, with United finishing eighth in the Premier League and leaving the Champions League early.

These struggles led the club’s new owners, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS to make this decision.

Official club Statement :

The club released an official statement, expressing appreciation for Ten Hag’s contributions:

“Erik was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024. We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.”

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who joined the club as Ten Hag’s assistant last summer, has been named as interim manager.

Interim head coach van Nistelrooy is considered a United legend, having scored 150 goals in 219 appearances and completed the clean sweep of domestic trophies.

Since retiring as a player in 2013, he has had some coaching experience and most notably won the KNVB Cup during a stint as PSV Eindhoven boss.
