Black Sherif Wins Best Hip Hop Act At Soundcity MVP Awards

On Saturday, 11th February 2023, Ghanaian superstar Black Sherif won the Best Hip Hop act of the year at  fifth edition of the Soundcity MVP Awards  at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

The Awards scheme is currently recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in Africa which has since its inception honored the exceptional accomplishments of African musicians.

The sensational young musician Black Sherif beat the likes of Blaqbonez, M.I, Kaligraph, Nasty C & AKA, Psycho, Ladipoe, Wakadinali, Chyn, and Vector, to emerge as the winner of the tight category

Apart from emerging as the winner of the Best Hip-hop category, the Soja hitmaker was also nominated in the Best New Artiste, Best Collaboration, Listeners Choice, and Viewers Choice Awards categories respectively.

Torchlight Tours Launches Afro Torch 2024, Maiden Edition To Be Held In December.

Afro-Torch, the newest addition to Ghana’s tourism scene, was officially launched over the weekend. The event (Afro Torch) is scheduled for December 24th to December 26th each year. With a lineup of exciting activities, from a cultural fair to a business fair, a masquerade walk, cocktail parties, tours, and a black-themed party, there’s something for everyone at this event.

Michael Orleans, CEO of Torch Light Tours and organizer of Afro Torch, intimated that “this event is a celebration of our rich African culture and heritage, and we are proud to bring it to Cape Coast. He reiterated that “beyond leisure, Ghana has a lot more to offer during December, and it is only right that Cape Coast sets the pace.”

“We want to use this event to promote tourism in Cape Coast and showcase everything this beautiful city has to offer.” He said.

He called for support from the media to make Afro-Torch a staple in Ghana’s tourism calendar. The guests were thrilled about this development and pledged their commitment to making this event a success. The slogan ‘Visit Cape Coast’ was the icing on the cake.
