Meek Mill Apologizes for Filming Music Video At Jubilee House
American rapper, Meek Mill has issued a heartfelt apology to Ghanaians for filming a music video at Ghana’s presidency, the Jubilee House.
This follows a major backlash after he shared snippets of the music video on Instagram on Monday.
According to him, the video wasn’t to disrespect the people of Ghana.
“To the people of Ghana, no video I drop is ever meant to disrespect the people of Ghana …. The fastest way to make connection is thru music and I wanted to do that with displaying art,” he tweeted
He went on to “take responsibility for [his] mistake” and expressed his desire to “make the connection between black people in America and Africa.”
“My apologies to the people if any disrespect! We still gonna push to make the connection between black people in America and Africa … what I’m trying to do is more than a video and you should see coming soon! My apologies to the office also,” he added.
In the video, Meek Mill is captured in different locations of the presidency, from the frontage, through the main corridors, in the main conference hall.
He was also positioned behind the presidential lectern and later in a sitting area rapping.
Meek Mill has since deleted the video that has brought so lunch criticism to him and the Presidency.

The exclusive tour features a series of high-level industry engagements, including media appearances, participation in music business conferences, and strategic networking sessions within the international music ecosystem.

The package is proudly sponsored by Mr. Nicholas Hagan, Board Chairman of the Central Music Awards, in fulfilment of the pledge announced during the awards ceremony held on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Kojo Vypa emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night, delivering electrifying performances and securing four awards: Best EP/Album of the Year, Best Rapper of the Year, Best Event of the Year, and the coveted Artiste of the Year title.
As part of his prize package, Kojo Vypa received a fully sponsored international tour covering Rwanda, South Africa, and Lesotho. The initiative combines participation in music business conferences, promotional activities, and leisure experiences, all aimed at expanding his global exposure. The package also includes a two-day vacation stay at Lemon Beach Resort in Elmina and Wilberforce Apartments in Cape Coast.
Kojo Vypa, known for his EP “Inspiration from Pains,” is expected to return to Ghana on Saturday, April 25, 2026, marking the successful completion of this international exposure initiative.
