The year began with a major corporate event for Ebenezer as he performed for Goldfields senior staff at Tarkwa Town Site in January. His ability to mix humor with professionalism made this performance a highlight, setting the tone for what would be an eventful year. His sharp comedic timing and infectious energy left a lasting impression on the audience, marking a strong start to the year.

February: Rewind to Funnitecture

The year kicked off with a bang as Ebenezer brought back his hit comedy special Funnitecture, a clever re-imagining of his 2023 show The Architect Without a Plan. In Funnitecture, he blended architectural metaphors with comedic timing to deliver a series of laugh-out-loud moments. The event was an instant success, attracting not only fans from Ghana but also international attendees who were keen to witness the magic that had been building in Ebenezer’s performances. His approach drawing parallels between the chaos of life and the structured world of architecture resonated with audiences, creating a memorable experience.

March: A Milestone with Basket Mouth

March was a particularly significant month for Ebenezer as he opened for one of Africa’s biggest comedy stars, Basket Mouth, at the Cancel Culture comedy show at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). This gig was an undeniable milestone, allowing Ebenezer to perform on a global stage in front of an audience that included both seasoned comedy fans and industry insiders. His spot opened the door for more opportunities, cementing his position as one of the leading voices in Ghanaian comedy.

In the same month, Ebenezer was also featured as Joy Prime’s Spotlight Personality, a recognition of his outstanding contributions to the comedic arts. This feature highlighted not only his talent but also his role as an inspiration to aspiring comedians across the country.

April: Spreading Laughter Across Borders

April saw Ebenezer take his humor across borders with a performance at Buchi’s Laugh Out Live in Lagos, Nigeria. This marked an exciting expansion of his reach as he shared his distinct comedic perspective with a Nigerian audience known for its vibrant comedy culture. His performance was a hit, demonstrating that great comedy transcends national borders, and that humour, much like architecture, can build bridges between cultures.

May: Giving Back to the Comedy Community

May was all about nurturing the next generation of comedians. Ebenezer, in collaboration with the Ghana Comedy Club, organized a Comedy Writing Camp, a free event designed to mentor emerging comedic talent. The camp provided a platform for comedy enthusiasts to learn the art of writing and performing jokes. His focus was not just on delivering punchlines but on building a community where budding comedians could refine their craft.

Later in the month, Ebenezer showcased his versatility by hosting Tailored Humour by Kwaku Forty, an event that demonstrated his skills as a master of ceremonies (MC). His charismatic presence was evident as he flawlessly guided the audience through a night of laughter and entertainment.

This prestigious performance at one of the country’s top entertainment venues gave him the opportunity to showcase his sharp comedic delivery to a packed house. His role as an opening act was crucial in setting the tone for the evening, and he did so flawlessly.

December: The Year’s Grand Finale

The final stretch of 2024 was as eventful as the rest of the year. Ebenezer’s standout December performances began with his role in celebrating OB Amponsah’s 10-Year Anniversary at the Bukom Boxing Arena. The show was a celebration of comedic talent, and Ebenezer’s contribution was a highlight that will be remembered for years to come.

To cap off an incredible year, Ebenezer Dwomoh closed December with a show at the Kumasi Comedy Show on Christmas Day. His performance was electric, leaving audiences in stitches as they celebrated the festive season with laughter. It was a fitting conclusion to a year filled with triumphs and milestones.

Acting and Expanding His Craft

2024 was also a year when Ebenezer ventured into acting, showcasing his diverse talents beyond stand-up comedy. He starred in the stage play Gen Z Versus Kwame Nkrumah, a production directed by Louis Lamis. The play, which explored the intersection of Ghana’s historical past and contemporary culture, benefitted from Ebenezer’s natural comedic timing and ability to inject humor into even the most serious of topics.
