Ghana’s unbeaten boxing sensation, Sampson Segbedzi, is gearing up for another explosive night at the Bukom Boxing Arena this Saturday, August 23, as he headlines the much-anticipated Best of Bukom event, proudly presented by Bishop Promotion.

Dubbed the “Pride of Ashaiman and the Volta Region,” Segbedzi has quickly risen to become one of Ghana’s most feared and admired pugilists. With an immaculate record of 9 professional fights, 9 wins, and 7 knockouts, he has already secured three prestigious titles:
Ghana Welterweight Champion, UBO African Welterweight Champion and

Segbedzi’s journey in the ring has been nothing short of inspirational. Beyond his lightning-fast punches and knockout power, he has built a reputation as a disciplined athlete, a symbol of perseverance, and a role model for the youth. His story resonates strongly with young boxing hopefuls in Ashaiman, Volta, and across Ghana who see him as proof that determination and hard work can conquer challenges.

On Saturday night, Segbedzi will square off with his compatriot, Habib Giwa, a tough and hungry contender who has promised to test the champion’s resolve. Giwa has openly declared that he is coming to spoil Segbedzi’s unbeaten run and claim the spotlight for himself. But the reigning champion has assured fans that he is fully prepared to silence doubters, defend his titles, and extend his winning streak.

Speaking ahead of the fight, Segbedzi confidently stated:
“I’m ready for Giwa. I have trained harder than ever and I know my fans will not be disappointed. This fight is not just for me, but for Ashaiman, Volta, and Ghana. I’m stepping into the ring to make a statement.”
