NIGERIA :JAMB Adopts New Cut-off Marks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has adopted a minimum cut-off mark for 2021 admissions.

Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, disclosed the minimum cut-off marks adopted by tertiary institutions at the 2021 policy meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to the new arrangement, universities are not allowed to go below 120 while polytechnics and Colleges of Education, are not allowed to go below 100 for admission.

This means that there will be no uniform cut-off marks for the 2021/2022 admissions.

On the deadline for the closure of admissions, the meeting resolved to allow the education ministry to reach a decision as they could not agree on the December 31, deadline for all public institutions and January 31, 2022, for all private institutions.

The next meeting is scheduled for October.

Our news team at Sintim Media is glad to announce to our cherished readers that, our life changing story about William Afful Bamfo, the brilliant but needy student from Kwanyako SHS has yielded good results as he has begun orientation and lectures at the University of Ghana Law School.

After emerging as the overall best graduating student in Kwanyako SHS for the year 2022, William’s dream of becoming a lawyer is set to be achieved.

Coming from a poor background but with a bright future, the 18year old Kwastech scholar appealed to the public for financial support in helping him achieve his dream of reading law in the university.

After his story went viral, several philanthropists reached out and have helped  paid off his admission fees, accommodation fees and also blessed him with cash for his campus living expenses which amount to a sum of GHC 7,000

Sintim Media confirms that, William Afful’s fees for level 200 has been paid in advance by another philanthropist.

The scholarship secretariat through the office of the First Lady is also working to secure a four year scholarship plan for William Afful Bamfo.
