Touching on the cause of the accident, Mr Agyekum-Kyeremah noted it was an error on the part of the truck ahead of their vehicle which they collided with.
“The driver of the tipper truck failed to show any sign of diversion, therefore his driver wanted to drive pass the vehicle ahead of him causing the collision. With this circumstance, one of the front doors of the vehicle got dismembered. The minister fell off the vehicle as it somersaulted several times. We thank God all the occupants are still alive” he narrated.
He however noted the minister is thankful to God and all well wishers.
“Despite the troubling nature of the incident, it has been a moment where he has experienced the true love of God for him and he expresses profound gratitude to all wishers who have called and trooped in to the hospital to wish him speedy recovery. The Chief of Staff, Interior minister, Health minister, Deputy Employment and Labour Relations Minister, Sunyani East MP, The Sunyani West MCE among others have all called or visited him to check on him and he is really pleased with their kind words anHon Ignatius Baffour-Awuah
This incident brings a big blow to the government as some labour unions have embarked on labour agitations while others are threatening to follow suit.
Described as an integral pillar in this current government’s administration by the president during his two day tour in the Bono Region, Hon Baffour-Awuah is described by union leaders as a man with humility who is also abreast with masterful negotiation skills with which he used in calming the storms of the labour front in his first tenure and this current tenure.
