Fofoo Attiso, CEO of African Dance Rhythms, has called on the Ghanaian government to focus on supporting and promoting local dancers and performers by prioritizing the export of African dance and drumming to the Western world.

Through his company, which operates both in the United States and in Ghana, Attiso has been tirelessly working to raise global awareness of African culture. His organization has been touring schools in the U.S., offering workshops and performances that showcase the depth and beauty of African dance and drumming traditions.

The Ghana-based annex of African Dance Rhythms has been actively engaged in touring and performing across the country, spreading awareness and appreciation for Ghanaian dance culture.

Now, Attiso is looking to take the next step by expanding this cultural exchange to Europe, encouraging Ghanaian dancers to tour internationally and introduce African rhythms and dance to wider audiences.

Attiso believes that supporting the global movement of African dance can not only boost cultural appreciation but also contribute significantly to the economic and social empowerment of local dancers in Ghana. As the world becomes more interconnected, Ghana has the unique opportunity to lead the charge in exporting its rich artistic heritage to the international stage.
