Driven by its mission to tell stories that fuel social awareness and change, Ice Box Media brings together a diverse group of patients, medical professionals, caregivers, and advocates. Through deeply personal interviews and expert insights, the series explores the medical, emotional, and social challenges individuals face when living with SCD.

More than just an educational tool, “Cross Roads” also delves into the systemic issues surrounding the disease highlighting gaps in healthcare access, racial and socioeconomic disparities, and the critical need for increased funding, research, and public understanding.

“Cross Roads is not just a series,” said a spokesperson for Ice Box Media. “We believe stories have the power to heal, to challenge systems, and to connect communities. This project is about giving a voice to those who are often unheard and shining a spotlight on an issue that deserves far more attention than it receives.”
The series will roll out in episodes on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, featuring a dynamic mix of documentary-style interviews, short dramatizations, expert panels, and interactive content designed to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. “We Need to Empower Young Boys to Complement Empowered Girls” — Blogger Nathaniel Quaye Speaks

Published

on

Blogger Nathaniel Quaye has called for urgent and intentional efforts to empower young boys, stressing that their development is just as critical to building a balanced and safe society. Speaking on AIT TV during a newspaper review segment with Nana Ama Agyiri, he highlighted the growing need to raise responsible and emotionally aware boys who can grow into respectful and supportive men.

His comments were prompted by a disturbing newspaper report about a four-year-old girl who was assaulted and tragically lost her life, an incident that has reignited national conversations around values, upbringing, and societal responsibility. Nathaniel Quaye noted that while significant strides have been made in empowering girls, there must also be a deliberate focus on shaping boys to understand accountability, respect, and empathy from an early age.

Referencing the advocacy of Kobby Kyei and his “Boys Lives Matter Too” campaign, Nathaniel Quaye emphasized that empowering boys should not be seen as competing with efforts to uplift girls. Rather, he explained, it is about creating a necessary balance. According to him, when boys are raised right, they grow into men who can complement empowered women, contributing to healthier relationships, safer communities, and a more progressive society.
