Becca Graduates From UPSA AS Overall Best Masters Student

Afropop, RnB and Highlife Singer born Rebecca Acheampong populary known as Becca, has grabbed a Master Of Arts in Brands and Communication Management from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Accra, at their 14th graduation ceremony.

The singer obtained her degree with a recorded CGPA of 3.92.

According to the school, Becca Academic achievement makes her the overall best student in the 2022 graduating class by the school.

In her valedictory speech, Becca mentioned that at a point, her education seemed an impossible task but for the support of her family, lecturers and colleagues.

“Being a mother now, a wife, a career professional and a singer furthering my education seemed quite impossible but thanks to my ever-supporting husband, Dr Saani Daniel who was always there to remind me that it was very possible, there is nothing you cannot do under the sun if you dare to try,” she said.

“I stand here before you as a testimony and confirmation that if you can dare to dream you can surely have it. I really hope someone out there can be inspired by me or by this and challenge for even high and better.

“To all lecturers, we pray that your fountain of knowledge will always flourish and replenish as you continue this beautiful task of imparting knowledge daily. You are indeed the backbone of this nation and may God bless you all,” she said.

African Dance Rhythms turned the 2026 Sunon Asogli Chinese New Year Celebration in Kpone into an unforgettable cultural spectacle, delivering a performance that instantly became the heartbeat of the night. With powerful drum patterns, sharp choreography and commanding stage presence, the troupe captivated the audience from start to finish, earning thunderous applause from dignitaries and guests alike.

In a gathering graced by Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Agbogbomefia of Asogli Togbe Afede XIV, diplomatic representatives and traditional leaders, it was culture bold, loud and unapologetically Ghanaian that took centre stage.

Organized by Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Limited, the event blended the spirit of the Chinese Spring Festival with the rich rhythms of Africa, but it was the explosive performance by African Dance Rhythms that truly defined the celebration.

From the first drumbeat to their final pose, African Dance Rhythms delivered a thrilling, acrobatic performance that pushed the energy in the room to another level. With gravity-defying flips, daring lifts and perfectly timed formations woven into Adowa, Kpanlogo and contemporary Afro-fusion, the troupe showcased not just dance but athleticism and artistry. Their vibrant costumes, synchronized footwork and fearless stagecraft held the audience spellbound a bold display of rhythm, strength and cultural excellence that stood out as the undeniable highlight of the night.
