TALK PLENTY GHANA COMEDY SPECIAL 2025: A Night of Pure Laughter, Star Power and Cultural Impact

The Talk Plenty Ghana Comedy Special 2025 took center stage last Friday, November 21, at the elegant Canwin Hotel opposite Junction Mall and it was nothing short of a masterpiece. T-Plenty Entertainment delivered an evening filled with humor, energy and unforgettable performances, giving patrons a refreshing reminder of the power of Ghanaian creativity. From the captivating red carpet moments to the final applause, the show stood out as one of the most successful entertainment events of the year.

The night began with a lively red carpet session that saw guests arrive in stylish ensembles as photographers and bloggers captured every moment. The buzz was obvious patrons came ready for a world-class comedic experience. The auditorium was packed, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation and excitement.

The lineup of comedians did not disappoint. MC Monica and Kelvinsapp guided the night with her effortless charm, expertly weaving performances together. The audience was treated to rib-cracking sets from Pararan, Cartoon Boy, Parrot Mouth, Small Pitah, Shosko V, Tom Tom, and others. Each comedian brought a different flavor sharp observation, daring storytelling, relatable humor and spontaneous improvisation reminding everyone of the incredible talent shaping the comedy landscape.

Adding to the vibrancy of the night was a strong musical presence from Graham D, Twest, ITEE, Machi Vibez, Smiling Boss, Lati, Dollar Boi and Frankido, whose performances kept the room energized.
Hypeman Pluto further lifted the atmosphere, engaging the crowd and maintaining high spirits throughout the show.

Beyond its entertainment value, the success of Talk Plenty 2025 highlights the undeniable growth of comedy in Africa. What was once a niche industry is now a thriving creative sector contributing significantly to the continent’s cultural identity. African comedians are commanding international stages, building global audiences, and shaping new narratives about the continent one joke at a time.

MTN Ghana Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives Make a Lasting Impact

The MTN Ghana Foundation has been at the forefront of championing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at driving growth and development in communities across the country.

During a panel discussion at the 2025 MTN Media and Stakeholders Forum held on Thursday, October 30, at Elmina Beach Resort, Mr. Michael Gbowonyo, General Manager of Internal Audit and Forensics at MTN Ghana, highlighted the foundation’s remarkable CSR endeavors.

With over 170 projects implemented nationwide, the MTN Ghana Foundation’s CSR initiatives are focused on three key areas: Education, Health, and Economic Empowerment. In the realm of Education, the foundation has made significant contributions, including the construction of classroom blocks, school dormitories, libraries, and ICT centers for schools and prisons.

Additionally, the MTN Bright Scholarship initiative has provided full educational sponsorship opportunities to thousands of tertiary students and approximately 200 teachers across the country.

In the Health sector, the MTN Ghana Foundation has made substantial investments, including the provision of fully equipped blood banks at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Winneba Trauma Hospital. Furthermore, the foundation has constructed a 15-bed children’s ward at the Twifo Praso District Hospital at a total cost of GHC 150,000.

Other notable initiatives include the “Yellow Care” program, which supports infants in hospitals, and annual sponsorships and donations to traditional councils in the Central Region during festivals such as the Edina Bakatue, Oguaa Fetu Afahye, and Aboakyire.

Through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the MTN Ghana Foundation is making a tangible impact in the lives of Ghanaians, demonstrating the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
