2021 Africa Youth Awards Winners Announced

Secretary-General of the African Law Students Association, Luckson Chibaye (Zambian) and Founder of Dream Factory Foundation, Lusanda Magwape (South African) have both been voted as the 2021 African Youth of the Year in the 2021 Africa Youth Awards.

They emerged as top winners alongside 12 other young African and organizations in the 8th edition of the continental awards scheme created to celebrate young people creating change in their local communities through various actions and initiatives.

The announcement was during a virtual awards ceremony attended by nominees of the 2021 awards and moderated by Africa Youth Awards President, Prince Akpah and Community Manager, Bahati Mgogwe.

Winners of the award were selected through a public voting process after nominees for the various 14 categories were announced and proof of testament of their works and support for the continent’s development.

In his opening speech during a virtual awards ceremony hosted on January 1st 2022, Africa Youth Awards co-founder and COO, Terser Adamu noted that Africa Youth Awards will continue to celebrate young Africans who are dedicated to uplifting the image of the continent through various works to inspire change and help in the development of Africa.

Africa Youth Awards was launched in 2014 as a Pan African awards scheme to honour inspiring young Africans who are championing the development of the continent in diverse fields.

Below is the list of the 2021 Africa Youth Awards winners

1. Luckson Chibaye (Secretary-General, Africa Law Students Association) – African Youth of the Year (Male)

2. Lusanda Magwape (Founder, Dream Factory Foundation) – Africa Youth of the Year (Female)

4. Zukiswa Nolubabalo Mqolomba  (Senior Executive, Media Development and Diversity Agency) – Award For Governance

5. Annejoyce Abuga (Founder, Peer Publishers And Consultant) – Award For Education

7. Afri-ITech – Startup Of The Year

8. Silyvin Kwamboka (Students President, University Of Nottingham) – Award for Diaspora Achievement

10. Lidya Wangui (Presenter, Realist Cbo) – Media Personality of the Year

11. Godfrey Kilimwoneshi (Co-Founder, Fundi App) Social Entrepreneur of the Year

Central Multimedia honors over 20 music legends from Central Region

Central Multimedia in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana – Central Region have honored a total of 24 music legends from Central Region at the 2nd edition of Legendary Dinner Night.

2nd edition of Legendary dinner night 2022

Central Region can boast of numerous legendary musicians who have contributed their quota in putting the region and Ghana on the map with their evergreen songs.

Central Regional MUSIGA Chairperson, Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II (Queen 1)

Legendary highlife musicians such as the late Papa Yankson, Nana Ampadu, AB Crenstil, Ebo Taylor, Besa Simons to mention few all trace their routes to coast of Central Region.

In recognizing the good works of our music legends, CEO of Central Multimedia, Mr. Clarence Kenneth Ekow Peterson Jnr better known in music industry as King Pee established an event dubbed Legendary Dinner Night, purposely to celebrate , honor and award aged musicians for keeping the music industry alive in central region for decades.

Legendary Dinner Night 2022

The 2nd edition of the Legendary Dinner Night was held on Sunday, 2nd January, 2022 at Hacienda Hotel in Cape Coast.

The honorary event saw in attendance renowned media, and music industry players like the MUSIGA Chairperson, Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, Barrister Daniels of ATL FM, Ato Trustworthy of Ahomka FM, Bismark Botchwey of Sintim Media, DJ Rock, among several dignitaries.

Clarence Kenneth Ekow Peterson Jnr, Founder & CEO – Central Multimedia

The Founder and Chief Executive officer of Central Multimedia, King Pee honored over 24 Music Legends during the events night including: Ebo Taylor, Ato trustworthy, Scott the mighty i am, Ambassador, Zig Boadi, Aunty Christy, Mr. Seeman, Papa Wastic Ben Korankye, Okyerma kwamena Pra, Mr. Victor Owusu, Oboh Kwesi, Scott Bertlee among other legends.

The late legendary Nana Ampadu was also honored Posthumously.

The dinner night also saw some thrilling performances from Sensational female Artiste Minab, Roy X Taylor, Papa Gyete, Oboh Kwesi and legendary Obodai.
