I Will Continue To Fight VGMA Board For Not Creating A Category To Award Artiste Managers And Publicists – Elorm Beenie

The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is the most prestigious Award Scheme organized by Charter House Production to acknowledge and recognize hardworking musicians within a year under review.

It’s obvious that, for over 20years of its celebration, the organizers of the Awards Scheme and VGMA Board don’t recognize Artiste Managers and Publicists who are behind the progress of many Musicians in the industry.

On Sunday, 31st January, 2021, Renowned Ghanaian Blogger, Author, Public Relations Expert and CEO of BeenieWords.Com, Elorm Beenie, during a live Twitter Interaction with Blogger Sintim disclosed that, he will continue to fight VGMA Board for not creating a category to award artiste managers and Publicist in the music industry.

According to Elorm Beenie, Artiste Managers and Publicists are playing key roles in the upbringing of most prominent musicians in Ghana and worth to be recognized for their hard work.

This revelation was made when Sintim enquired about Elorm Beenie’s opinion on why organizers of the Ghana Music Awards don’t recognize Bloggers in the music Industry.

Elorm Beenie replies by saying ;

I’ve always ‘fought’ #VGMA Board (@GHMusicAwards / @CharterHouseGh), will continue to do so for not creating a category to award/acknowledge Artiste Managers/PRs too! Most of these people ‘behind the scenes’ GO HARDEST for Musicians/Creatives to be visible. #TweetChatWithSintim

Blogger Sintim during his recent episode of Tweet Chat With Elorm Beenie asked about his expectations for the next VGMAs, Elorm Beenie replied by saying;

“Fingers crossed, looking forward to see HARDWORK with SOLID CONTENT ‘pushers’ from the previous year acknowledged, even though I know it is a “POPULARITY” award scheme. Our awards should be an extension of our tourism, creatives & culture. Not just buzz!”

Its indisputable that, Bloggers, Music Promoters, Artiste Managers and Publicists in Ghana are doing so well behind scenes in grooming, nurturing and promoting musicians.
