Joy Learning, Dedicated Educational Channel On Multi TV Launched
Television channel dedicated solely to educational content Joy Learning has been launched on Multi TV.
The initiative which is a partnership between e-learning platform, Wolo and The Multimedia Group is geared towards improving access to quality education for students at the Senior High School level through simulcast.
Launching the channel on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM Monday, Acting General Manager of Adom Brands at The Multimedia Group, Abdulai Awudu explained that lessons on the channel will encompass a wide range of subjects in SHS via a regulated timetable.
“SHS Form 1 belt is 6:30 am, 1 pm and 4:30 pm. The SHS Form 2 belt is 8:30 am, 2 pm and 6 pm and the SHS Form 3 belt is 10 am, 3 pm and 7 pm.
“On weekends we have the omnibus which brings all the lessons together…I just hope that this model we are putting together becomes the future,” Mr Awudu said.
Director of Corporate Affairs for Wolo, Jackie Ankrah, disclosed that the channel will bring well-curated world-class lessons educational activities to the doorstep of the average Ghanaian youth.
“Wolo TV is bringing a lot of the teachers from the Ivy League schools so if you feel as if I went to a rural school and I don’t have access, this is where we are bringing unfettered access. Everyone can have equal access to quality education,” she said.
She also disclosed the existence of “an interactive forum where students can share problems with tutors for further assistance.”
