Highlife Music Is What I Do Best And I Will Keep It Hundred Percent – Koby Symple
Fast Growing Ghanaian Highlife Musician, Koby Symple, born Godfred Kobina Abavana has made it known that, among all the music genres in the world, the indigenous authentic Highlife genre is what he is good at and he will always keep it hundred percent.
The `Adiza’ hitmaker made this revelation today, 17th October 2019, in an exclusive interview with Jackie, host of the “Lucky 3 Jackpot show” on TV3.
The “Odo Pa” Hitmaker who grabbed five official nominations at the 2019 Central Music Awards and yearning to win the Artiste of the year prestigious award in the interview expressed his love and passion for the authentic Highlife genre and pledged to do it well.
The ”Lover’s Bench” Album owner when asked why is he not trying other music genres but only Highlife music, Koby Symple replied by saying ;
“.. I sound very good on an Highlife beat more than any other music genre … I’ve tried many music genres and I think Highlife is what I’m good at so I will keep it hundred percent and I will keep it going…”
When was asked by Jackie as to whether nothing can change his love for the Highlife genre, the ”Dede” hit song owner said, his future is certain with Highlife but may be it wouldn’t be the same like the way Ghanaians see Highlife as it was done back in the days by Kaakekoo, Dady Lumba, Amakye Dede among several Highlife legends.
Koby Symple who is set to release his next Highlife single dubbed “Oye” appealed to the government and corporate world to support the creative art industry mostly the Emerging Artistes to help them achieve their dreams.
